Route details

The Eden Valley Ultra Trail is a single 50km loop around the beautiful Kent countryside, starting and finish in Hever.

From the event base the route travels clockwise passing through Cowden, Marsh Green, Edenbridge, Toys Hill, Ide Hill, Leigh & Penshurst to name a few.

There are many breathtaking views from the trail especially towards the midde section in the hills and woodlands around Chartwell.

Aside from the natural beauty there are many stunning historic buildings and picturesque villages to enjoy on the way around.

The route is mainly flat and undulating except for a hillier section in the middle between ~25-35km.

Itinerary

There will be stalls serving coffee, food and local beer throughout the day until 5/6pm.

Aid stations

There will be a minimum of three fully stocked aid stations on route, these are at 14.2km, 32.1km & 41.7km.

Please note there are toilets and the start/finish, second and third aid stations.

The aid stations will contain the following:

  • Water
  • Electrolyte drink
  • Coke
  • Fresh fruit
  • Sweets
  • Crisps

We will not be providing bottles/cups, so it is essential you have a refillable bottle or cup with you.

Ultra marathon volunteers

Entry details

Registration is £60 (or £58 to club runners) and includes the following:

  • Entry to the race
  • Free car parking at event base
  • Unique finishers medal
  • Timing wristband
  • 3 aid stations
  • Medical support
  • Bag drop at event base

T-Shirts

Unique t-shirts will be available to buy closer to the race date.

Transfers

You are welcome to transfer your entry to another runner up until August 16th.

Withdrawal

If you withdraw from the race prior August 1st you will receive a 50% refund. After this date refunds are not offered.

Mandatory Kit

The following items are mandatory:

  • Trail running shoes
  • Mobile phone (fully charged at start of race)
  • Refillable Water/hydration system (min 1 litre
  • Windproof jacket
  • Additional base layer (weather dependent)
  • Basic first-aid kit (plasters, antiseptic wipes, bandage)
  • Whistle
  • Cash (£20)
  • Route map (provided)

Please bring a reusable cup for use at the aid stations.

Prizes

All runners will receive a unique finishers medal.

There will be prizes awarded to the race winners, V40+ category and a team prize (first team to have three finishers).

Getting there

The start/finish and event base is located at:
Wilderness Farm, TN8 7LP.

Wilderness Farm has camping facilities which can be booked - please check back here closer to the event for more details.

The event base is a 15 minute walk from Cowden station, with regular trains from London, arriving as early as 06:53.
